Secret Hiding Places

The best thing about being a Londoner for 9 years now is that I know the knotty fabric of this city quite well. It is pretty damn hard to get me lost anywhere in zone 1. But the downside to that easy familiarity is that this mess of a city becomes quotidian, when the the thing that I love the most about London is that it is a wretched hive of crazy serendipity.

Today after I stepped off the train and was a bit pressed for time, I noticed a heretofore totally unseen branch of one of my fave juice/healthy food chains around town…and this is despite walking past it a thousand times! How v. convenient. Even better: after I paid for my quinoa salad and beetroot/greens juice, I parked myself out on their hidden terrace overlooking the forlorn fag end of Charing X station (pic above).

And instantly, I have a favourite new hiding place. Surprise! Thank you, London!

Do you have secret hiding places that you return to again and again?
