This week, London finally got a taste of summer which seemed to make everything brighter and happier, even in light of the mounting chaos that is the Olympics fiasco (we’re not all fans of our city being invaded). My MSc project sprouted and grew some interestingness virtually overnight, and I’ve been allowing myself some tasty treats as time off for good behaviour when not hard at work chivvying code and equations in the library.

The sunshine! The cutoffs! Lazing in my garden sunbathing with a fresh copy of Tatler! It really doesn’t get better than this unless it involves a proper holiday.

Rootbeer float over a really good and trashy chili cheese dog lunch at The Diner. If you need your fix of American junk food, The Diner is the place to go, I promise.
And this song, Walkabouts by Atlas Sound: Put this on your headphones, walk around London on a sunny day, and then you’ll understand.
